There are a number of opportunities over the Tarra Festival for both commercial and community (non-commercial) vendors and stallholders.  Some of these are managed through the Tarra Festival Committee and others through particular community groups.

Saturday is the biggest day for the Tarra Festival with thousands of people lining the main street for the street parade which starts at 11am.  For the first year, we are allowing commercial trading in the road closure area on the first block of the side streets adjacent to the parade rout. We believe this will give vendors access to an unprecedented number of shoppers at the parade – typically attracting in the range of 10,000.
We are limiting the types of vendors we will be allowing here so as not to impact on our normal retailers with shops on the street. Food is permitted but only one coffee vendor, no pizza, fish & chips, hot roast beef rolls, sausage sizzles (Rotary only permitted). Other food by approval only and you must be listed on StreetTrader.
Non food items are permitted with little restriction although we do pre-approve.
No deposits are required but you will be allocated a place in advance so you need to make application. Money will be collected on the day.
Vendors may start setting up any time from 7am and can start to trade as they choose. Entertainment will commence around 9:30-10am which is when the crowds start to arrive. The parade itself runs from 11am-noon and typically trade would be very low for that hour. It picks up again from noon – 3pm. The roads will be closed to allow trading until 3pm. You may leave early providing you can do so safely from your location and seek clearance from the road closure staff.
Rates are $100 for food vendors and $50 for general vendors.
If you are a Yarram/Port Albert vendor who normally traded at the Yarram Sunday Market (we have a list), there are discounts available.
