Multicultural Easter in the Park

Multicultural Easter in the Park

EASTER SUNDAY, 11am-3pm Rutter Park Port Albert

Rutter Park Port Albert

The Tarra Festival is huge this year on Easter Sunday in Port Albert.  Through the earlier part of the morning the Port Albert Markets will be open along with an Indigenous Art Exhibition, the Maritime Museum & Yacht Clubt. Then the people from Yarram will start at 1030am from Yarram (Memorial Park) with the Good Times Car Club leading a “convoy” to Port Albert along with Motor Cycles, Horses and Buses to bring along those who need a lift. We all meet up in Rutter Park where there will be a car show (organised by the Good Times Car Club), two performances of Ruby & Dr Jazz (Harlem Jazz), a big yellow tent from The Dreaming Space, full of circus acts and equipment the kids can learn to use. There will be magic shows, circus skills, cultural story telling for the little kids, enough bubbles to fill the park AND lessons in how to blow those monster bubbles – which of course everyone will then make.
We have a range of international food vendors in the park as well as free henna tattoos and balloons.

Of course there will also be a monster Easter Egg hunt as well.

The entertainment runs until around 3pm with buses running backwards and forwards to Yarram over the day. We will also have a bus picking people up from Foster & Toora as well as other tourist locations around the area. ‘LIKE’ our Facebook Page to be kept up to date with the bus timetable once we work it out. Oh and just to help you plan, the buses will only cost a donation to Mirridong.
